Life does not lead us to certainty.

It teaches us to trust even in uncertainty.

Most of us long for certainty.
The certainty of making the right decisions.
The certainty of being in the right relationship.
The certainty of being in the right profession.
The certainty of being on the right path.
The certainty that everything will turn out well.
Yet life rarely grants us such certainty.
Instead, it invites us to learn something much deeper – to trust even in uncertainty.
Especially in moments when we do not know what comes next, we tend to look for answers outside ourselves.
We ask our family, friends, colleagues, or people we trust.
We hope they will give us advice, support us, or show us the right direction.
But the more people we ask, the more different answers we receive.
Why?
Because every person sees the world through their own experiences, beliefs, and personal life story.
The psychologist Carl Gustav Jung once said:
“Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakens.”
Perhaps trust begins exactly there – in the connection with ourselves.
But where does the kind of trust come from that carries us even when we have no certainty?
The trust that helps us get back up when we fall.
The trust that allows us to keep moving forward even when we cannot yet see the destination.
The trust that gives us the courage to love again after disappointment instead of closing our hearts out of fear of further pain.
Often, we search for the answer last in the very place where it has been from the beginning – within ourselves.
True trust does not reveal itself when everything is easy.
It reveals itself when our plans fail, when we are disappointed, or when life unfolds differently than we imagined.
It is precisely then that we have the opportunity to return to ourselves.
To our intuition.
To our inner strength.
And to the knowledge that we have already overcome many challenges in life and will overcome the next one as well.
Trust does not mean knowing that everything will turn out well.
Trust means not losing yourself on your own path.
For me, psychological counselling is not about telling people which path they should take.
It is about creating a space where they can reconnect with themselves.
To greater inner clarity.
To greater inner balance.
To their intuition.
To their own truth.
And to a simpler life that can be lived with more trust, joy, and love.
